CEID Membership

If you are an undergrad, graduate student, postdoc, faculty member, or an interested scientist looking for an opportunity to work with the Center for the Ecology of Infectious Diseases at The University of Georgia, we offer several avenues for motivated people to take advantage of our abundant opportunities. Please check through all of our programs to see if one is right for you.

Opportunities

Individuals interested in actively participating in CEID events and collaborative research are encouraged to apply for membership.  While most events are open to the public, CEID members have voting privileges on matters concerning CEID priorities and activities, and their research is often featured on our website, social media, and in our newsletter.  Membership is open to any scientist with a sincere interest in the ecology of infectious diseases, who have a method of engaging with CEID research and/or events.  Members are asked to list CEID as a secondary affiliation on any thematically relevant publications, and to keep their membership active through participation in events or ongoing research.   Membership is granted by a majority vote of the CEID advisory committee. Individuals interested in membership should send the following to ceid@uga.edu with the subject “CEID Membership”:

  • Current CV
  • List of research interests
  • Brief statement of interest describing why you believe you are good fit for CEID membership, and how you plan to engage with CEID research and events
