The coronavirus pandemic has been the dominant story in popular media for almost half a year. As the number of clinically confirmed cases continues to rise in much of the county, it will remain the lead story for many news outlets. However, the ecological circumstances that led to COVID-19’s prominence may not be as well communicated. Beginning July 7, CEID director John Drake began a series of posts on Forbes.com that will address numerous subjects of infectious disease ecology and epidemiology. When posts are published, they will be linked to the CEID’s Twitter account.
